This blog is dedicated to the discussion of the really big questions in life which have been the subject of inquiry and investigation since the dawn of recorded history. Contributions are welcome, especially if backed by verifiable facts, but be prepared to have your world view challenged! What about Origins?

How did the universe originate? How did life originate? Do we have any way of knowing these things? Also, if they were deliberately brought into existence, do we have any way of knowing why? Feel free to enter a comment below.

I asked my kid, "Who made you?" and he replies "God did". I ask a follow up question, "What else did He make?", he replies, "Everything else.". I continue on because I must and ask, "Why did He create everything?" and he replies, "For His own glory.".
The world in general rejects such simplicity of wisdom and would rather look at ones own hand and say "I created you", "I marvelously designed you to function in perfect harmony with the enviroment around you or merely to scratch one's own itch. Thumb, you work of art. How I wonderously and purposely placed you there opposing my fingers so I may grasp things and work and do countless other things. Yet again hand I forgot my excellent interior designing of your bones and muscles and blood vessels and all the detail in each one of those details which operate perfectly together". "Yes I", says man created myself." Such boasting ends if one were to ask for the original blueprint and he is forced
to admit there is none and that in truth he actually is forcebly trying to convince himself that it was all by mere chance(s)times infinity that everything is what everything wonderously is. Its grandeur, its majesty, its height and depths, its beauty and seemingly unlimited number of examples of life and design of function. If man were honest with himself he would say that's so utterly absurd but anything I tell you to avoid the truth lest he be like a child and confess it. But then what next?
